Today we went hiking at a new spot for us, the Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a Mass Audubon site. One of M's co-workers had suggested it to her yesterday. It was beautiful out today and we got a decently early start, so we had lots of quiet walking time and spent almost three hours there. It's been pretty bitterly cold out the past few days, and lots of the gross kind of snow. Yech. At least in Buffalo we got the big lake effect snows. Here we just get little sea spray snows. Happy 2010, arbitrary of an anniversary as it is and all :) Spring always feels more like a new year to me. We had a couple of days of thawing recently and the amount of light and the temperature and the smell of the mud and the grass all made it feel like late March, which was great.
